The former Australian Captain and Coach of IPL Franchisee team Mumbai Indians Ricky Ponting was inducted into the Sports Australia hall of fame in Melbourne on Wednesday night.  The moment also became special as Punter was inducted by none other than his former long-time teammate and his deputy during his captain-ship days Adam Gilchrist. To be inducted in Sports Australia hall of fame, athlete must be retired for two years before being eligible and committee didn't miss any chance to include Ricky Ponting in this list at the first available opportunity. “I was surprised when it was declared that N. Srinivasan will represent the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an International Cricket Council (ICC) Board Meeting in Barbados held from  June 24 to June 26  this year. I asked myself, how a person barred from becoming BCCI President was eligible to represent BCCI in an ICC meeting ? It was earlier in the month of March when Jagmohan Dalmiya was elected as the BCCI president that too after a gap of 10 years and ideally should have represented the BCCI at the ICC Board Meeting in Barbados. My Extraordinary Experience [The Delhi Tour]                              OH MY GOD!!!! My happiness knew no bounds after hearing the brilliant news. I was selected for the Delhi one day camp organized by Cricket India Academy [CIA]. This was not an ordinary camp. It was a camp with the Australian Cricket players currently playing for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in India. This was a golden opportunity and I was surely not going to miss out on this. I grabbed this opportunity. I convinced my parents quite easily. There were ten children going to Delhi from Mumbai. I felt good to be one of them. Inter House Cricket Tournament Cricket is my FAVORITE GAME! I just enjoy playing cricket! Be it a foil ball cricket during recess, weekend coaching, evening cricket in society compound or home cricket with the younger brother, I simply love it! Just a week back i.e. on 28 th & 29 th January, we had Inter -House Cricket Tournament organized by Cricket India Academy where I loved playing this game. Such a fun was it! Wait let me tell you all about this! When we heard that Cricket India Academy is going to organize Inter-House Cricket Tournament in our school we all were very excited. Soon the day came when we all were taken to the ground for selection. Based on our bating, bowling and fielding skills the team was going to be selected. Day 2 : 19th August, 2012 Steppie Blasters v/s Singham Boys, 19th August, 2012 - Juniors The start of the tournament was very exciting and to top the excitement, we won. When the opposite side won the toss, they elected to bat.Then we gave so many extra runs, which made  us a little worried. They put up a score of 137 and it had us on the back foot and the pressure was on me when I went in to open from my side. But when they started to bowl equally badly and gave as many extra’s we had our win in sight very easily. The opening partnership was very good and our scores of 17 (Krish Sharma) and 16 (Abhinav Jain) made it all the more easy. And Krish Golchcha wrapped up the match with a boundary and the victory was ours to cherish. This has given our team the desired boost and we hope to win more matches.
